Martin Jones (Dentist/dental surgeon)
BDS (London) BSc (Murdoch) Assoc. Fellowship World Clinical Laser Institute

Professional - Qualified at Royal Dental Hospital in London in 1966. Worked for 12 months in a practice in England and from 1968 Martin operated his two dental practices in Brighton, leaving England to establish his practice in Perth in 1976. The Perth outdoor lifestyle, climate and easy going Australian attitudes are the reasons he has never regretted this move.

Martin has embraced advanced technology within dentistry - Waterlase MD Dental Laser, Cerec CAD-Cam system, digital X-Rays, Diagnodent (diagnostic laser), Electronic Apical Position Indicator and Intra-oral digital photography. His philosophy is if you can make dentistry comfortable for your patients, then it can be an enjoyable and rewarding job. A recent developing interest is that of holistic dentistry.

Personal - Martin has four children and six grandchildren and recently married Mary. His interests include playing jazz, dancing, playing bridge, trekking, canoeing, golf, sailing and his family.


John Edwards (Dentist/dental surgeon)
BDS (Hons) London Hospital LDS RCS (Eng)

Professional - Qualified from London Hospital in 1977. John has been practicing at Lynwood Dental Centre since 1984 and a partner since 1985 and has a strong affiliation to family dentistry and the long term maintenance of regular patients. John is particularly interested in crown and bridge work, having gained an Honors Degree from London Hospital in this Department. John enjoys a very relaxed operative environment to help deal with patient apprehension. One of his three daughters is studying dentistry at U.W.A.

Personal - John has an interest in boating, river kayaking, scuba diving, cycling, motor racing, good food & wine and travel.


Dawn Nosworthy (Dental Therapist)
Assoc. Dip. of Dent. Therapy, 1982

Professional - Dawn enjoys interacting with patients and being able to educate them in reference to their oral hygiene, and providing treatments that will give them a healthy mouth.

Personal - Married to Brett and has two children. Meg (15) and Todd (10). Apart from loving being a Mum, she plays golf at Royal Perth Golf Club. Other hobbies are walking and watching her children play sport, and she would like to travel more, but at this stage working and parenting commitments limit this.


Meredith Dawson (Practice Manager / Receptionist)
Assoc. Dip. of Dent. Therapy, 1988

Professional - Meredith joined L.D.C. in May 2001. She enjoys patient contact and interaction with staff who are a tight knit group. Meredith likes the industry -its ever changing technology etc.; helping people and seeing someone happy with work done.

Personal - Married for over 20 years with three children, she spends a lot of time involved with children's sport - cricket (including scoring) and football. Enjoys travel and reading.


Erin O'Neill (Martin's Nurse)
Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) Certificate IV in Dental Assisting
(Assisting in General, Anaesthesia & Conscious Sedation).

Professional - Erin joined L.D.C. in March 2008 and enjoys working closely with the other staff members as part of a close knit team and the challenges each day brings. She also enjoys the responsibility of providing a safe, sterile environment to work in.

Personal - Erin enjoys beach volleyball, keeping fit, running with her dog, piano, guitar, mosaics and would like to travel more.


Maike Boxma (John's Nurse)
Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Assisting in General, Anaesthesia & Conscious Sedation).

Professional - Assists in General, Anaesthesia & Conscious Sedation. Maike joined L.D.C. in June 1999 and enjoys the teamwork and caring for patients.

Personal - Maike loves to travel the world and has many places yet to visit. She likes to walk her dog and spend time with family and friends.


Donna Clarke (Receptionist)

Professional - Donna has recently joined L.D.C. as our receptionist. Donna is a qualified Dental Surgery Assistant (London) and has worked as a receptionist at a London dental hospital. She enjoys being able to help people and the challanges of running the front office environment. She also enjoys her friendly co-workers and patients and the endless cups of tea.

Personal - Enjoys kayaking, dancing, bushwalking and fishing (especially at 80 mile beach - a beautiful spot).
